The U.S. Chamber of Commerce isn't promising to become pen pals with the next president of the United States, but will send the presidential candidates a letter once a month until the 2016 general elections.
The Chamber recently announced the launch of "Dear 45," a year-long campaign in which the business group will pen a letter to the candidates every month until November 2016, also encouraging business leaders and people from both sides of the political aisle to do the same.
The next president will be the 45th person to hold the office.
The Chamber has launched a new Twitter account to coincide with the campaign and is promising to release graphics, video and other shareable content in the future.
"Over the next year through this campaign, the business community will make its voice heard in the debate and outline our vision for the policies that will accelerate growth, strengthen job creation, and unleash opportunity for Americans," Chamber CEO Tom Donohue said.
The first letter has been posted online at http://uscham.com/1kZn6FE
